Stir together peanuts, sugar, syrup and salt in 1 1/2-quart casserole. Place in microwave and cook 4 minutes on high. Stir. Cook 3 to 4 minutes longer. Add butter and vanilla; stir well. Return to microwave and cook on high 1 to 2 minutes. Peanuts will be lightly browned and syrup very hot. Add baking soda and gently stir until light and foamy. Pour mixture onto lightly greased baking sheet. Allow to cool.
Note: Check more often at first because all microwaves are different.
