| | Directions | - In a large bow, cream the shortening, sugars, and eggs. Beat well; then add the vanilla.
- Sift together the dry ingredients and add to the creamed mixture.
- Add the oats, coconut, and gumdrops.
- Roll into small balls; then place on a greased cookie sheet and press flat with a fork.
- Bake 10 minutes at 375ºF. Makes 6 dozen.
