| Directions | Cream shortening and sugar until light. Beat in peanut butter, egg and milk. Sift together dry ingredients and stir into creamed mixture. Place dough on lightly floured wax paper; Roll in 15 x 8 x 1/4" rectangle. Melt chocolate over hot water. Cool slightly; spread over dough. Roll like jelly roll, lifting wax paper slightly with each turn. Chill 30 minutes. Slice cookies 1/4" thick. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 375° for 8-10 minutes. |
