| | Directions | | Boil sugar, Karo and water until well mixed; add butter. Boil until soft crack stage. Add nuts. Cook until hard crack stage. Color brown = peanuts done. Remove from fire. Add 1 tsp baking soda and 1 tsp. vanilla; stir well. Spread on buttered cookie sheets, with buttered knife, spreading thin. Let cool and break into pieces. |
