| Directions | Stir together peanuts, sugar, syrup and salt in 1 1/2 qt. casserole dish. Place in microwave and cook 7 to 8 minutes, stirring well after 4 minutes. Add butter and vanilla extract to syrup, blending well. Cook 1 to 2 more minutes. Peanuts will be lightly brown. Add baking soda and stir gently until light and foamy. Pour onto lightly greased cookie sheet. Cool 1/2 to 1 hour. Break into small pieces. |
