Melt 2 sticks of butter in large microwave safe bowl for one minute or until melted. Slice remaining 2 sticks of butter into 1/2 inch pieces, add to melted butter, stirring until completely melted. Pour butter, all at once into dry ingredients, mix thoroughly until dry ingredients are incorporated and dough is smooth. Add 1 c of dried cranberries and 3/4 c of chopped walnuts. Mix completely.

At this point you can drop by rounded spoon full onto baking sheet and bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown...OR shape into logs,wrap in parchment paper and freezing for later use. If freezing, allow logs to stand for 10 minutes before slicing.

-2 3/4 cups all purpose flour
-4 sticks butter
-1 cup dried cranberries
-3/4 cup chopped walnuts
