| | Directions | | In bowl mix flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, baking soda. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse meal. Stir in craisins. Combine buttermilk & egg, stir in dry ingredients just until moistened. Turn out on floured surface & knead lightly until smooth. Shape dough into balls & place on greased baking pan. Pat into a 7" round loaf. Cut a 4" cross about 1/4" deep to allow for expansion. Brush top with milk. Bake 375° for 50 minutes |
