Pizza Strata Recipe
Directions
  • Arrange bread cubes insingle layer on large baking sheet. Let stand 8 hours to dry.
  • Spread half of the bread cubes in a lightly greased baking dish, sprinkle Canadian bacon, red pepper, green onion and parmesan cheese evenly over bread cubes.
  • Arrange rest of the bread cubes evenly over the parmesan cheese and top with tomatoes, olives (optional) and mozarella cheese.
  • Whisk together eggs, milk, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper and parsley.
  • Pour egg mixture evenly over bread cubes, pressing down cubes gently to absorb liquid, cover and chill 8 hours.
  • Bake at 325° F for 55 minutes or until set and top is browned.
  • Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.

-1 cup Canadian bacon - finely chopped
-1/4 cup jarred roasted red pepper - chopped
-1/4 cup green onions - chopped
-1/2 cup parmesan cheese - fresh, grated
- (14 oz.) can diced tomatoes with basil, garlic and oregano
-1/4 cup black olives - chopped (optional)
-1 cup mozzarella cheese - shredded
-6 eggs - large
-3 cups milk
-1 teaspoon Italian seasoning - dried
-1/2 teaspoon salt
-1/2 teaspoon pepper
-1/4 cup parsley - fresh, chopped
