In a bowl, combine the Bisquick, sugar and cinnamon. In another bowl, beat the egg, applesauce, milk and oil. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened.
Fill greased or paper lined muffin cups two-thirds full. Bake at 400° for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool for 5 minutes before removing from the pan to a wire rack.
In a small bowl combine the sugar and cinnamon. Dip muffin tops in butter, then in cinnamon-sugar. Makes 1 dozen muffins.
