| Directions | Cream butter, sugar and egg in large mixer bowl. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, salt and nutmeg; add alternately with milk to creamed mixture. If dough does not seem stiff enough to roll, gradually add small amounts of flour. Roll out on lightly floured board to 1/2 inch thickness; cut with floured cutter. Deep fry at 365° for 2 - 3 minutes, turning once during frying. Drain on paper; cool. Sprinkle with confectioner's sugar. About 2 dozen. |
