Preheat oven to 400°. Heat the milk, water and butter until warm. Add 3 cups flour, sugar, salt and yeast. When mixed add enough of the remaining flour to make a kneadable dough. Place in a greased bowl for about 15 minutes. Shape into buns, 12-15 for large or 18-24 for small. Let raise for about 20 minutes. Bake in preheated 400° oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
Note: This recipe also good for bread sticks.
