| | Directions | | Mix baking soda and 1/4 cup boiling water. Add soda water to bananas, stir and set aside. Cream sweetener and shortening. Beat eggs; add remaining ingredients, except nuts, mix well. Add bananas, soda mixture, then nuts. Bake 350° for 30 to 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Makes 2 loaves. |
