| | Directions | | Preheat oven to 400°. Mix dry ingredients. Add oleo and mix with fingertips. Pour in buttermilk. Knead dough for a minute; shape into a flattened loaf and place on a greased cookie sheet. With a knife, score an X on loaf. Bake 1/2 hour; reduce to 350°. Bake 1/2 hour longer. Cool, slice and serve with soft butter or cream cheese. Makes one 7-inch loaf. |
