Sour Cream Banana Bread - Recipe

Creamy banana bread that is sure to please. The dense bread is the perfect consistency. Spread a little butter on it or leave it plain, either will put a smile on anyone who eats it. This bread is great frozen, too. Have some fresh banana bread ready when the kids come home from school.

Sour Cream Banana Bread Recipe
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour 2 bread pans.

Beat butter until fluffy. Add sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time. Add vanilla.

Sift flour, baking powder and baking soda in seperate bowl. Add flour mixture alternately with sour cream. Add bananas and pecans. Mix just until well blended.

Pour into prepared pans. Bake for 1 hour until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.

-1 1/3 cups sugar
-2 eggs
-1 teaspoon vanilla
-2 cups flour
-1 teaspoon baking powder
-1 teaspoon baking soda
-1 cup sour cream
-1 cup bananas, mashed (approximately 4 bananas)
-1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
