Put the Oreos in a food processor until they are crumbs, then add the softened cream cheese and mix well. Once it is well mixed, roll the dough into small balls. Freeze the balls on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper for at least one hour or overnight.
Mix the chocolate and shortening and melt in the microwave.
Dip the frozen balls in the melted chocolate. Let the chocolate harden and enjoy!
NOTE: You can also store them back in the freezer or the refrigerator until ready to serve.
1 package Oreo cookies
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 package white, milk, or dark chocolate chips
1 tablespoon vegetable shortening
