Use canned beets for quickest version of this dish; use roasted beets for best flavor.

  • Slice or dice beets.Toss with vinagrette sauce to coat well. Let stand--at least 10 minutes, or as long as overnight--refrigerated, to develop flavor. Sprinkle on the cheese and nuts just before serving.
