Peanut Butter Brownies - Recipe

Peanut Butter Brownies Recipe
Directions
BROWNIES:
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare baking pan with cooking spray.
  • In large mixing bowl, cream margarine/butter with sugar and beat in eggs. Blend in chocolate and vanilla. Stir in flour, salt and nuts. Spread in prepared pan.
  • Bake 20-25 minutes or until just barely set in middle. Do not overbake.
  • Cool on rack.
PEANUT BUTTER FROSTING:
  • Combine sugar, peanut butter, vanilla, and butter in a bowl. Slowly add boiling water (reserve 1/2 tablespoon) and beat until smooth. (If needed, add boiling water a few drops at a time until smooth. May need to adjust liquid and powdered sugar for desired consistency.) Spread onto cooled brownies.

-2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, pre-melted
-1 teaspoon vanilla
-1/2 cup all-purpose flour
-1/4 teaspoon salt
-1/2 cup chopped dry roasted peanuts (optional)
- PEANUT BUTTER FROSTING:
-2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
-1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
-1 teaspoon vanilla
-2 tablespoons butter, softened
-2 tablespoons boiling water, more if needed
