| Directions | Wash beans. Put beans in a Dutch oven and cover with 2 qts. water. Boil for 2 minutes. Remove from heat; cover and let stand for 1 hour. Add remaining ingredients and 1 tsp. soda and ham bone. Bake 4 hours at 315° . Keep covered with liquid. You may need to add extra water. |
