Melt chips in water and vanilla, add 1/2 cup sugar. Take off heat, add egg yolks, mix and cool. Beat egg whites stiff, fold into above. Beat 1 pint heavy cream plus 1/2 cup sugar. Fold in mixture. Press lady fingers in sides and bottom of buttered 10 inch spring form pan. Pour mixture in pan, chill overnight. Next day whip 1 pint heavy cream with powdered sugar. "Ice" mousse. Also good with chocolate chips.
-2 packages lady fingers
-1 package butterscotch chips (12 ounce pkg)
-1 cup Sugar
-3 tablespoons water
-1/2 cup powdered sugar
-6 eggs separated
-2 pints heavy cream
-1 teaspoon vanilla
