| Directions | Steam clams till shells open. Remove from water, reserving liquid; cool and chop. Dice salt pork and fry; add onions and cook till transparent. Put pork, onions, and potatoes into clam liquid; add bay leaf. Add more water. Cook and when potatoes are almost done, add the chopped clams. Add desired amount of milk and warm, but do not bring to a boil. Serve with oyster crackers. |
