| | Directions | | Mix diced tomatoes, tomato juice, salt, onion powder, white pepper, and sugar together. Bring to boil and shut off. Sprinkle baking soda on top, let cool for about 1/2 hour then stir it in. While cooling, mix non-dairy creamer and hot water. Set aside. Melt margarine, add flour and mix well. Add this to the non-dairy creamer and water and mix together well. Next add to the tomato mix, mix well and heat. Be sure to stir often. If you have a trivet, put the pot of soup on it to heat. You can add more seasonings if you want but taste before adding. Makes 3 gallons of soup. |
