Directions
Fry bacon until crisp. Remove bacon from grease crumble and set aside. To bacon grease add potatoes, onions, and carrots. Add enough water to cover vegetables. Boil until vegetables are tender. Melt butter in a frying pan, add flour stir until smooth. Add milk all at once. Cook until mixture thickens. Add to cooked vegetables. Add more milk if thinner soup is desired. Add bacon just before serving. Garnish soup with cheese.

-1/4 cup butter
-3/4 cup flour
-4 cups milk
