| Directions | In a medium bowl, whisk together 1 tablespoon flour, buttermilk, eggs, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper. In a separate shallow bowl, combine remaining flour, remaining salt and remaining pepper. Cut each green tomatoes into 4 thick slices. Dip tomato slices in buttermilk mixture and dredge in flour mixture. In a heavy 10" skillet, place vegetable oil. Heat oil to 350°. Fry tomatoes 2 1/2 minutes on each side or until golden. Drain on paper towels and serve hot. |
