Combine sugar, brown sugar, flour, oats, cinnamon and nutmeg.

Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Set aside.

Butter 9-inch backing dish.

Place apples in dish. Sprinkle with apple juice or cider. Top with mixture.

Microwave uncovered at full power (high) for 14-16 minutes or until apples are tender.

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
