| | Directions | | Start by preparing the sauce. Combine sauce ingredients in a pan, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 5-7 minutes, until sauce thickens slightly. Set aside. Season matza meal with sprinkling of garlic powder. Dredge chicken in crumb mixture, shake off any excess, and lay in broiler-proof baking dish. Drizzle some sauce over each breast. Bake uncovered at 375° for 30-35 minutes until chicken is opaque in center. Change oven setting to Broil and move baking dish to a top rack 4 to 5 inches from heat source. Broil chicken for 4 to 5 minutes. Serves 6. |
