| Directions | Cover sliced cucumbers with 2 gallons water in which was dissolved 2 C. lime. Let stand overnight. Drain and wash good and gently. Cover with plain water and soak 3 hours. Drain the water off the cucumbers. Combine vinegar, celery seed, sugar, spices and salt, then mix with 7 pounds of cucumbers, cover and let set over night. Put on the stove and boil 40 minutes. Seal hot. |
