Combine tomato sauce, sugar, Italian seasoning and garlic powder to make a sauce. Set aside. Combine meat, bread crumbs, salt, pepper, egg and 1/2 C. of sauce; mix well. Press into 8 x 4 or 9 x 5 inch plastic or glass loaf dish. Cover with waxed paper. Microwave on high 13-15 minutes or until just about set in center, rotating dish twice. Drain meatloaf and transfer to serving tray. Spoon remaining sauce over meatloaf; sprinkle with cheese. Microwave on high, uncovered 1-1 1/2 minutes or until cheese begins to melt.
