Directions
In a large frying pan, brown spareribs. Add sherry and water, cook for 1 hour on medium heat. Cool in liquid and remove excess fat. The spareribs come loose from the bone and I remove all the bones (not necessary but very nice if you have guests).

Lay spareribs in large shallow pan cover with sauce and bake one hour at 300°. Makes 6 servings

-6 pounds spareribs (baby back)
-1 each sherry wine and water (1/2 cup each)
- Sauce
-1 teaspoon Salt
-1/4 teaspoon pepper
-1/4 cup chopped onions
-1/4 sliced lemon
-1 teaspoon chili pepper
-1 teaspoon celery seed
-1/4 cup vinegar
-1/4 cup Worcester Sauce
-1 cup ketchup
-1/2 cup brown sugar
-1/2 cup water
-1 clove garlic (minced)
