Bread Making Demonstration:

To begin, grease and flour a loaf pan; then set it aside. | |
Prepare the bananas by peeling them and mashing them with a fork. Set the mashed bananas aside. | |
In a large mixing bowl, cream the shortening, sugar, and eggs until the mixture is fluffy; then add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture and beat until all of the ingredients are well blended. | |
Add the mashed bananas and stir until they are well distributed in the batter. |

When the bananas are well blended with the other ingredients, pour the batter into the greased and floured loaf pan. Bake in a 350ºF oven for one hour. Insert a toothpick into the bread to check for doneness. If the toothpick is clean when it is removed, the bread is done. |

When the bread is done, allow it to cool 10 minutes in the loaf pan; then, remove the bread from the pan and allow it to cool completely on a wire rack. |
