A term from India that may refer to a food dish with rice and vegetables or a ready to eat snack. Nav is the term that denotes nine in India so there will generally be nine kinds of foods combined together.

As a food dish, Navrattan Pullao is referred to as a nine-jeweled rice dish consisting of Basmathi rice, onion, cloves, cinnamom, cummin seeds, green peas, diced tomatoes, chile pepper and Garam Masala seasoning, almonds, cashews, pistachios, ginger, and raisins. Other ingredients may include a hard boiled egg and diced chile peppers. Another food dish known as Navrattan Korma is a mixture containing nine different types of vegetables such as green beans, diced carrots, green peas, cauliflower, onions, and four other vegetables of choice.

When served as a snack, Navrattan is a dried mixture of gram pulse, lentils, potatoes, peanuts, rice flakes, spinach, red chile pepper, and various seasonings. The seasonings may include peanut oil, salt, citric acid, mint, bayleaves, coriander, fenugreek, black salt, black pepper, dried ginger, mango powder, clove, mace, nutmeg, asafoetida, cummin, and cardamom.
