A common utensil that has been used since early times as a cleaning, prepartion and utility tool for many ocassions associated with food. Believed to be commercially developed during the early 1900's, Paper Towels, which are also known as Paper Toweling or Kitchen Rolls, are produced in a variety of thicknesses and textures that are typically made on small diameter rolls 11 inches in length or as individual Paper Towels. Paper Towels in roll form are considered to be domestictoweling and are perforated every 12 inches or less so they can be easily detatched from the roll which fits on an upright or hanging dispenser. Softer in texture, the domestic paper towels may be thicker in substance which are made to be more absorbant or thinner in substance that are more utility in use. Paper Towels in sheet form are often referred to as commerical or institutional toweling, which are folded together so they can be easily removed from box dispensers. This type of Paper Toweling is more coarse in texture and thinner in substance than many roll types of Paper Toweling.
