BARBECUED CHUCK STEAK Recipe

Ingredients
  • 4 pounds chuck steak (1-1/2 inch thick)
  • 1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
  • 2/3 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/3 cup salad oil
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 green onion tops, cut into 3 inch pieces
Directions
Wipe steak with a paper towel and score fat around edges. Combine other ingredients and pour over steak in a large bowl. Let stand at room temperature for 3 hours, or 6 hours in refrigerator, spooning sauce over meat occasionally. Remove meat from marinade and wipe partially dry. Grill about 15 minutes on each side for rare beef, or 20 minutes on each side for medium. To serve, cut in thin slices across grain of meat. Yield: 4-6 servings.
