Ingredients
1 1/2 pounds fresh tuna steaks, 1 inch thick
2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
Directions
Generously coat tuna steaks with Cajun seasoning. The more seasoning you use the hotter the flavor. In a large skillet (cast iron) over high heat,(this works best if you can cook outside as the smoke gets pretty bad) heat olive oil and butter. When oil is nearly smoking, place tuna steaks in skillet. Cook tuna on 1 side until blackened, about 3 to 4 minutes. Turn tuna steaks and cook other side for 3 to 4 minutes, until desired doneness. Serve warm. Makes 6 servings.
