Pour a small amount of vegetable oil in large pot
add the chopped onion, celery, and garlic. Saut till translucent. Add tomato paste, sauce and stewed tomatoes. Add 2 cans water, salt and pepper, dash of sugar, Italian seasoning to taste. Simmer 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
Meatballs: Mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, chopped bell pepper & onion, salt and pepper together and roll into meatballs. Bake in oven or fry in skillet till done. Add to sauce when it is done.
