Hamburger & Cabbage Casserole Recipe

Cabbage rolls without all the work. And this is a low-fat casserole that the whole family can enjoy. Serve it with buttered bread like you had when you were a kid.

Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 head green cabbage, chopped
  • 1 can tomato soup (10.5 ounce can)
  • 1 can water

Preheat oven to 350°.

Brown beef and onions in a skillet; drain.

Saute cabbage over medium heat for 5 minutes.

In a small bowl, combine tomato soup with water as directed.

Layer a 9x13 casserole dish with cabbage and beef mixture on top. Spread tomato soup mixture over the top.

Bake 30-40 minutes.

"Great casserole with some salt and pepper. I made this the night before and then refrigerated until the next evening. I let it sit at room temperature for 20 minutes before baking as I usually do with refrigerated casseroles."
