Cornbread Dressing 5 Recipe

  • 1 box corn bread mix (19 ounce box)
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 6 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 6 eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 cup onion, chopped
  • 4 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 stalk cellery, finely chopped
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons sage
  • 2 cups chicken, cooked, diced
Mix corn bread mix according to package and add sugar. Cook as directed.

Take cornbread and crumble up into a large bowl. Pour half of broth over the cornbread and mash up with potato masher. Beat eggs and add to cornbread. Blend well. Add the other ingredients and rest of broth. Mix well. Stir in chicken. Bake in 350° oven until done.
