Chicken & Dumplings Recipe

Ingredients
  • 4 Chicken Breasts
  • 2/3 cup flour
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup chopped carrots
  • DUMPLINGS
  • 2 cups flour
  • 4 tablespoons oil
  • 5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons parsley
Directions
Coat chicken with flour, brown on both sides in butter. With remaining flour add 3 cups of water and add to chicken. Add chopped vegetables. Simmer until vegetables and chicken are tender.

Mix all dumpling ingredients and drop by spoonfuls on top of chicken. Bake 10-12 minutes or until fluffy.
