A sloppy joe made with chicken gumbo soup and ketchup. It's not as think as other recipes but just as delicious.

Ingredients
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1/2 cup onion, diced
  • 2 cans chicken gumbo soup
  • 1 can water
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup yellow mustard
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • pepper, to taste

Brown beef and onions in heavy skillet; drain off fat.

Add the remaining ingredients. Stir to combine. Bring to simmer and simmer for 30 minutes.

Serve over buns, bread, mashed potatoes or noodles.

"Good flavor but needed quite a bit more salt and pepper. I substituted 1 can of diced tomatoes for the water since I like tomato chunks in my sloppy joes."
