Tomato Jam 4 Recipe

  • 3 cups Red Tomatoes (ground)
  • 1/4 cup apple juice
  • 2 cups Sugar (measured and set aside)
  • 1 box Lemon Jello (6 ounce) (12 ounce box)
Wash quarter and grind red tomatoes (you can remove seeds by cutting them off). Combined ground tomatoes, apple juice and sugar together in a medium saucepan and bring to a full boil stirring until sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and stir in jello. Ladle into very hot sterilized jars leaving 1/4" head space. Wipe rims and threads with a clean damp cloth. Tighten rings and lids. Place on a towel and let stand over night to cool. Check seals and store in a cool dry place. Shelf life is one year and, refrigerator life is six months.
