Apple Pie Jam Recipe

  • 2 sweet apples, peeled & diced (4-5 large)
  • 1 water
  • 5 sugar
  • 1/2 butter
  • 3 liquid pectin
  • 1 1/2 ground cinnamon
  • 1 ground nutmeg
In a 5-6 qt sauce pan, combine apples & water. Cover and cook slowly until tender. Drain & measure 4 1/2 cups apples & return to the pan. Add sugar & butter to pan. Bring to a full rolling boil, stirring constantly. Quickly stir in pectin, return to a full rolling boil. Boil 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, skim off foam & stir in spices. Put into hot sterile jars & seal. Yields 7 - 1/2 pts.
