GRILLED ASPARAGUS RAFTS Recipe

Ingredients
  • 16 thick (1 lb asparagus
  • 1 tablespoon low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dark sesame oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons sesame seeds, toasted
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • dash of salt
  • wooden skewers
Directions
Prepare grill. Prepare asparagus by snapping off the tough ends. Arrange 4 asparagus spears on flat surface. Thread 2 wooden skewers horizontally through the spears 1" from each end to form a raft. Repeat with the rest of the spears. Combine soy sauce, sesame oil and garlic, brush evenly over the asparagus rafts.

Grill for 3 min. on each side, or till crisp/tender. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, salt and pepper.
