Tostado Maiz Chulpe (Dried Chulpe Toasting Corn) Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 pound Chulpe Corn
  • 3/4 cup canola oil
  • Salt
Directions
Rinse corn. Place in a pot with oil over a gentle flame, cover. Stir constantly until it turns a golden color and add salt. Dried Chulpe Toasting corn is available in Latino markets and on-line.

Note: Tostado, Mote and Hornado combined are the most traditional and popular food in Riobamba, Ecuador. Buen provecho!
