Caramel Oatmeal Bars Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups oatmeal
  • 1 package caramels
  • 2/3 cup whipping cream
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
Directions
Cream butter and brown sugar, add 1/4 cup whipping cream. Mix well and add flour, soda, oatmeal. Save 1/3 cup for topping. Press 2/3 cup in jelly roll pan. Bake 350° for 12 minutes. Melt caramels with 2/3 cup whipping cream. Spread on baked crust. Add the nuts to reserved topping mix. Spread on top of caramel. Bake 12 to 15 minutes.
