Ma's Caramel Candy Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 squares Bakers chocolate
  • 1 1/2 cups syrup
  • 1 1/2 cups walnuts
  • 2 cups whipping cream
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla
  • 1 cup butter
Directions
Put sugar, syrup, 1 cup cream and butter in heavy kettle. Bring to boil. Boil slowly add 1 cup cream do not stop boiling while adding cream. Boil until medium hard ball stage in cold water. Remove from heat add chocolate and vanilla. Stir well to mix. Pour into buttered cookie sheet. Cool, cut and wrap in wax paper for lighter caramel omit chocolate.
