Salted Nut Roll Bars 22 Recipe

  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 package Marshmallows
  • Topping
  • 2/3 cup white syrup
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 package peanut butter or butterscotch chips (12 ounce pkg)
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla
  • 2 cups peanuts
  • 2 cups Rice Krispies cereal
CRUST: Mix all ingredients for crust except for marshmallows. Pat in 9"x13" pan. Bake 12 to 15 minutes at 350°. Immediately sprinkle bag of marshmallows over crust. Return to oven for 2 minutes. Leave cool.

TOPPING: In large saucepan, combine all topping ingredients except cereal and peanuts. Heat just until chips are melted and mixture is smooth, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; stir in cereal and peanuts. Immediately spoon warm topping over marshmallow; spread to cover.
