Fruit Cocktail Cake 53 Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1 No. 2) can fruit cocktail
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Topping
  • 1 stick butter or margarine
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 can evaporated milk (13 ounce can)
  • 1 cup Coconut
  • 1 cup nuts
Directions
CAKE: Mix all ingredients and pour into a 2x9x12 inch pan. Bake at 350° for 30-35 minutes.

TOPPING: in saucepan, add butter, sugar and milk. Cook until thickened. Remove from heat and add coconut and nuts. Pour onto cake.
