Classic One Minute Frosting Recipe

  • 1 Sugar
  • 1/2 butter
  • 1/4 cream
  • 2 marshmallow cream
  • 1 vanilla
Mix sugar, butter, and cream in a saucepan, and put over medium heat. Stir constantly and when it comes to a boil, time exactly for 1 minute. Take from heat; add marshmallow creme and beat until thick enough to spread. It will be shiny. Be strong, it takes a lot of beating. Makes enough for a 9" square cake.

Variation: add 4 T. cocoa (to sugar) to make chocolate icing. You may add flavoring for a different taste.
