pie crust Recipe

Ingredients
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 3/4 cups shortening
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup water
Directions
Mix shortening, flour, sugar & salt in a bowl with a fork until about "pea size". Add together vinegar, egg and water. Mix well. Add the liquids to the shortening mixture and mix. Don't handle anymore that necessary, but bring it all together in one lump. Then divide the "lump" accordingly. This recipe is for two 2 crusted pies. It works well cut in half for 1 pie.
