Vanilla Cream Pie 4 Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 Egg Yolks
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/3 cup Flour or 3 T. cornstarch
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup coconut (for coconut pie) or 6 T. chocolate (for chocolate pie)
  • MERINGUE FOR 9 inch PIE
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 6 tablespoons sugar
Directions
Pie directions: Mix the first four ingredients for cream pie. Bring milk to boil stage and then add the pie mix. Stir until gels thick. Put in baked pie shell. Top with meringue.

Meringue directions: Beat egg whites until frothy. Beat sugar into egg whites, a little at a time, until you can't feel the sugar. Put on pie and seal around the crust. Bake for 15 minutes or until brown.
