Kiwi Upside Down Cake Recipe

  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 6 sliced kiwi, enough to cover bottom of 9 x 13 inch pan
  • Maraschino cherries (optional)
Melt butter in the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch cake pan. Cover with kiwi slices. Sprinkle with brown sugar. Mix cake according to directions; pour over kiwi and brown sugar mixture. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes; turn out on tray. If desired, cherries may be added to kiwi on bottom of pan.
